The Role
We’re looking for a sharp, detail-loving Proposal Writer/Coordinator who can help us translate ideas into winning bids. You’ll play a central role in identifying proposal requirements, writing clear and compelling content, coordinating with SMEs and partners, and ensuring that every submission is compliant, polished, and on time. Reports to the Vice President of Business Development & Capture.

What You’ll Do
- Write proposal content that is clear, concise, and tailored to each opportunity
- Coordinate the end-to-end proposal process — from kickoff and calendar creation to delivery and debrief
- Develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, and content templates
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and project teams to extract key inputs and build compelling narratives
- Manage supporting materials including past performance summaries, resumes, project plans, and pricing narratives
- Assist in developing boilerplate and reusable content libraries
- Track open opportunities, submission deadlines, and post-submission updates
- Help identify gaps in requirements and proactively resolve blockers
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience writing or coordinating proposals in a government contracting, nonprofit, or consulting environment
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a focus on clarity, compliance, and impact
- Strong organizational and time management skills — you hit deadlines
- Comfort working across multiple teams, personalities, and writing styles
- Familiarity with government procurement processes (especially federal, state, or local RFPs and RFQs)
- Ability to manage several moving parts simultaneously without losing the plot
- Self-motivated, positive, and calm under pressure
Bonus Points For
- Experience using proposal management tools (e.g., GovWin, BidSync, Adobe Acrobat, or Google Workspace)
- Familiarity with formatting requirements for government solicitations
- Basic graphic design or layout skills (InDesign, Canva, etc.)
- Previous experience with training, IT services, or management consulting firms
