AI & Emerging Tech Solutions Architect

Voluminant helps government agencies and private organizations rethink how they work, solve problems faster, and deliver services smarter — all with the human touch. From interactive training and AI integration to project management and digital transformation, we believe in solutions that actually work — not just check boxes.
The Role
We’re looking for a creative and hands-on AI & Emerging Tech Solutions Architect to help us lead the next wave of transformation for our clients. This person will sit at the intersection of strategy, design, and delivery — shaping innovative solutions that blend practicality with future-forward thinking. You’ll help conceptualize and stand up everything from lightweight AI tools to immersive VR training programs.
You’ll work report directly to the CEO and work closely with our leadership team, instructional designers, developers, and clients to bring solutions to life that are actually used — not just admired in a slide deck.
What You’ll Do
- Design and prototype AI-powered tools, learning solutions, and decision-support applications for government and enterprise clients
- Serve as the technical brain behind proposals — helping shape solutions that are feasible, compelling, and cost-effective
- Lead small internal or contracted technical teams to build and deliver working MVPs and client-ready solutions
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies including generative AI, VR/AR, simulations, low-code/no-code tools, and enterprise software platforms
- Work with training teams to embed smart tech into custom training courses (e.g., adaptive assessments, virtual coaching)
- Stay ahead of the curve — testing and validating what’s hype vs. what’s useful in the real world
What You Bring
- 5+ years in technical solution design, emerging technology integration, or systems architecture
- Hands-on experience with at least some of the following: GPT/LLMs, Python, Power Platform, Unity, Unreal, VR headsets, simulations, eLearning platforms
- Familiarity with government IT environments and constraints is a huge plus
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Builder’s mindset — scrappy, curious, and comfortable navigating ambiguity
- Comfort with small teams, wearing multiple hats, and working directly with leadership
Bonus Points For
- Experience designing or integrating XR/VR learning experiences
- Experience working with state, local, or federal government clients
- Portfolio of tech demos or prototypes (we love builders!)
Why This Role is Cool
- You’ll help shape real-world solutions that make work better, safer, faster
- You’ll work directly with the CEO and creative leads to shape strategy, not just execute
- You’ll have the freedom to try new things, test ideas, and grow with us
- You’ll help build a technology practice from the ground up — one that values results over jargon
How to Apply
Send your resume, a short note (or video!) about what excites you about this role, and anything you’ve built that shows your ability to think and execute creatively. We’re looking for talent, not titles.
