Ace Endico, the largest distributor in New York’s Westchester and Putnam Counties servicing the tri-state area, hired Voluminant to produce an interactive human resources on-boarding DVD program, including a realistic job preview (RJP) video for their night warehouse order selecting associates.
Appert’s Foodservice, one of the largest employee-owned and operated companies located outside of Minneapolis, Minn. hired Voluminant to produce several interactive DVD training programs, including three realistic job preview (RJP) videos for their food processing, order selectors, delivery drivers and sales associates. Voluminant also produced a video program on food safety compliance and FDA recall procedures.
Clyde’s Restaurant Group, one of Washington, D.C.’s largest casual fine dining restaurant holding companies hired the Voluminant team to revolutionize their training approach and program materials for their front of the house servers and management team. Established in 1963, Clyde’s has grown to more than two dozen restaurants including Georgetown’s 1789 and the downtown stalwart Old Ebbitt Grill. Clyde’s had the standards of service down pat, but they hired Voluminant to bring their training materials into the 21st Century leveraging immersive training and blended forms of multimedia.
FoodPRO, a single warehouse operation serving the Mid-Atlantic and greater Washington, D.C. area worked with Voluminant on the scripting, production and use of job training and on-boarding videos as an integral part of their recruiting and employee screening process. Heavy emphasis was placed on safety and employee benefits for FoodPRO’s associates.
Industrial Athlete University, is the only sports-minded employee training and development firm built around hard workers in the food distribution industry. Voluminant has helped IAU assess training needs, design hard-hitting programs, and develop immersive and engaging Web-based course content to keep program participants — from the executive office to the industrial playing field — engaged and focused on achieving success.
Linens of the Week, one of the largest providers of rented textiles to hospitals, hotels and restaurants, hired Voluminant to conduct a strategic planning session focused on hiring and retention, on-boarding, employee training, safety policies and procedures, and performance management. This project segued into the development of several interactive training programs for LOTW including a driver skills training program, an OSHA-compliant training module on slips, trips and falls, and a lockout/tagout training program. LOTW was purchased by ALSCO in early 2012.
Performance Foodservice, the third largest broadline distributor of food and food-related products to the restaurant and hospitality industry hired Voluminant for a multi-year project focused on skills training for employees from warehouse managers and routers to order selectors and delivery drivers. PFS utilizes a highly-customized version of the Voluminant training framework for selector and driver training.
Roma Foods, a sister company of Performance Foodservice, worked with the Voluminant team on the customization of order selector and delivery driver training content. Roma also uses the Voluminant realistic job preview videos produced for PFS for delivery drivers and order selectors.
Textile Rental Services Association, the leading international organization representing the commercial laundry and textile rental industry, partnered with Voluminant to design and develop several engaging and interactive multimedia training programs. These programs focused on helping TRSA member companies train their employees on occupational and workplace safety focused on OSHA standards regarding lock out/tag out and safe material handling in a commercial healthcare laundry facility environment.
The U.S. Department of State, the government department dedicated to ‘advancing the cause of freedom for the benefit of the American people’ hired Voluminant to design, develop and deliver the “Warehousing Management Training Program”, a primer on warehouse management practices, to general and foreign service officers who lead department posts overseas. As a part of this program Voluminant authored “The Warehousing Field Manual”, an entertaining and informative guide with warehouse management tips of the trade.
U.S. Foodservice, the second largest food distributor in the United States, hired the Voluminant team to design and develop custom training programs for the company’s night warehouse selectors and delivery drivers across 88 distribution centers around the country. Additionally, Voluminant assisted U.S. Foods on the preliminary design of their workplace harassment training program and produced two realistic job preview videos.
U.S. Military Academy (West Point), Center for Enhanced Performance, hired the Voluminant team to facilitate a team building and teaming strategy session with a professional NHL hockey team. Voluminant captured the training experience on tape and produced an archived training video to help keep the team management, captains and players mindful of their early-season commitment to each other — and to winning.
